A webhook is a simple and easy-to-use way to source outside information and use that to automatically create scheduled posts and queue posts. One can also view a webhook as a simplified API with a single purpose, namely to create posts.

The sources that can send information to a webhook are limitless.

Here are just a few examples of potential sources:

Entries published on RSS feeds.
Emails that you send to a specific email address of yours.
Mobile app that an external developer developed for this purpose.
Software that you wrote yourself.
And many, many more.
